Press Release > Faith and Food: Queen of Angels Parish Takes Part in Heifer-Supported Farms and Agricultural Projects

June 15, 2004
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Queen of Angels Parish is participating in “Faith and Food,” a Heifer-supported initiative that offers members of Chicago congregations the chance to purchase organic produce and meat while supporting lives of dignity for those who raise our food.

In a project beginning in early July and running for 16 weeks, Queen of Angels parishioners and others in Ravenswood can receive weekly shipments of locally grown, organic produce from Heifer-supported farmers. Contact Cliff McIntosh at 773/278-7625 or the Heifer Project’s Sundee Wislow 773/279-9696 for more information or to sign up for Faith and Food.

For more details on signup, participating farms, and other information, go to the website of the Queen of Angels Peace & Justice Committee, www.peaceandjusticechicago.com.

The deadline for registering for Faith and Food at Queen of Angels is Sunday, June 27.

Contact Dan O'Neil of Queen of Angels Parish at (773) 960-6045 for more information.
